Is technology a distraction in the classroom?

Technology can be a potential outlet for off-task behavior in class, but part of the issue is that technology simply makes more visible the times when students were already off-task in another way (staring out the window, doodling, etc).

Learning Catalytics presses students to use their devices for appropriate educational purposes, allowing you to “hijack” students’ devices and use them to further your course’s educational objectives: to distract them from their distractions, in a sense.
