Check a Scheduled Reading assignment (Overview page)

The Overview page for a Scheduled Reading assignment serves as a hub from which you can:
- Check the assignment status, such as due date, student completion data, and more.
- Take action from the quick links and Items areas, such as to see the reading assignment in Student View, edit the assignment, or adjust the assignment settings by student (like to grant an extension or other).
To open its Overview page, select a Scheduled Reading title from the Assignments page, in List view or Calendar view .
- Due date status for the assignment
Due date: This can be Not Assigned, Not Available to Students, Due in X Days, or Past Due. If a due date has been assigned, it appears here.
To set a due date, select Edit Dates. Scheduled Reading assignments are always available to students, regardless of whether you assign a due date.
- “Students marked as complete”
Shows the ratio of students who selected “Mark Complete” in their view of the assignment, whether they read online or in print.“Students using print textbook”
Shows the ratio of students who chose “I read this in my print textbook” in addition to “Mark Complete”. - Assignment status: Complete or Incomplete
Scheduled readings are not graded. When you review a student’s work on their Scores page, you’ll see “Complete” or “Incomplete” status for reading assignments. You may also see “Read in print book” for any students who selected “I read this in my print textbook”.To see which students have been active in the eTextbook, select eText Analytics Dashboard then select Students. The Gradebook doesn’t show a list of students who completed a scheduled reading assignment. (The Pearson eText is also known as eTextbook.)

Select this link to open the Overview page for the graded assignment students should complete after they’ve read the selections in this Scheduled Reading assignment.This lets you check student progress on the homework or other assignment related to the Scheduled Reading. The Overview page for the other assignment provides a link back to this Overview page for the Scheduled Reading.
- Open the eText Analytics Dashboard
Opens the eTextbook with data about student eTextbook activity. (If you don’t see this option, it’s not available for your course.) Select either Readings or Students to see student engagement data for Scheduled Reading assignments and other student eTextbook activity.
To edit one or more of these details: Select (top right) or select an option from the Scheduled Reading assignment quick links (left).
Use the provided links to take action for the assignment.

Copy Assignment |
Select other courses to copy this assignment to, and optionally change the assignment due date in each of the receiving courses. The other courses must be based on the same edition textbook for students to be able to open assigned sections in the eText. |
Adjust Settings per Student |
If the assignment is assigned with a due date/time, you can extend the due date/time for select students. The new date/time must be earlier than the end date for the course. |
Select a reading section link to open the eTextbook to that section.
