Register for a Mastering course

Your instructor will give you registration instructions that include the name of your Mastering course and, if applicable, a course invite link (or course ID).
- Payment options include student access code, credit /debit card or PayPal, or temporary access for 14 days.
- During registration, you either create your Pearson student account or identify an existing Pearson student account.

- Click the course invite link you received from your instructor.
A course link looks like https://mlm.pearson.com/enrollment/garcia20389, where garcia20389 is the course ID.
If you have a course ID instead of the course invite link —
(A course ID looks like wong54213, where wong is the last name of your instructor.) Go to https://mlm.pearson.com and select Student under Register. Select OK, register now!, enter the course ID, and select Continue. - Check that the course info on the right side of the page matches your instructor’s course. If it doesn’t seem right, select find your course.
- Sign into your Pearson account or create one.
Identifying an existing account not only saves a few steps during registration, it also helps you to manage your Pearson courses more easily under a single account.
- Redeem your access code or purchase access. (A temporary access option is also available.) Enter an access code
Select Access Code, enter the code, and select Finish.
Pay for access nowUnder Use a Credit / Debit Card or PayPal, select the price button. Enter your payment information and verify your order.

- On the "You're Done!" page, select Go to My Courses to open the Mastering course you just enrolled in.
From now on, you can sign in at https://mlm.pearson.com to see the courses associated with your Pearson account.
Some textbooks are used for more than one Mastering course, usually for different course sections or for a multi-semester course. When you enroll in another course taught with the same textbook, you will not be asked for an access code or other form of payment.
- There is no limit to the number of other Mastering courses you can take that are based on the SAME textbook, including its edition.
- These Mastering courses can be concurrent or consecutive, spread across several school terms.
You may have access to multiple Mastering courses in the same Pearson account. If you do, and you want to switch to a different course in the same browser tab or window:
- From an open Mastering course you have signed into, select Back to my courses (top left) or select My Courses in older courses.
- Select the course you want to open from the My Courses page.
To work in both courses simultaneously
Open a second browser tab or window, sign in to https://mlm.pearson.com, and select the second Mastering course. To preserve the security of your account, you'll need to sign in again.
All of your online course scores and personal information (including financial, if applicable) are associated with your individual Pearson student account.
