To specify book metadata:
Global Book ID | Read-only. It is a unique identifier for an eText generated by the Content Manager application. It is available across entire eText platform including Content Manager, Authoring and Viewer applications. |
Book ID |
Read-only. It is generated by the Authoring tool. You can see it in both Authoring and Viewer applications. Note: The Book ID and Global Book ID are different. |
Book Title* | The title of the eText. |
Book Edition | The edition of the eText; for example, Third Edition. |
Authors* | First Name, Last Name, and Other for additional information. Click Add an Author to display a new line and to add another author. Click Delete Author to delete the author already added. |
Copyright Year | Select the year from the menu. |
ISBN |

Orientation |
Determines the orientation of the eText when it is displayed in two page view using the eText Viewer. Select either Verso or Recto (default). When you select Recto, all odd pages appear on the right; when you select Verso all odd pages appear on the left. For example if you go to page number 7 in two page view, pages 6 and 7 display for Recto view while for Verso pages 7 and 8 appear. |
Show links by default | Determines whether hotspots (links) are visible to the user in the eText Viewer, by default. To make them display to the user select Yes; to hide them from the user select No. The eText Authoring tool clears Show Links check box when you select the No option. |
Book TOC Levels* |
In the Number to Show menu, select the number of levels to display in the Table of Contents. Select the Role (unit, chapter, h1, h2, h3, for example) for each of the TOC levels. |
Cover Art* |
For each of the three types of cover art: Thumbnail, Cover, Navigation bar, and iPad, do the following:

Minimum Hotspot Height* | Determines minimum hotspot height for every new hotspot created in the authoring tool. The smallest hotspot you can create is 7 pixels high x 7 pixels wide. |
