Uploading custom icons

eText Authoring Tool provides a list of default images associated with various types of hotspots. You can modify the default list by uploading images of your choice from your computer. You can choose any image from your computer and upload it in the Authoring Tool using Upload eText Icons for the eText viewer or using Upload iPad Icons for the iPad application.

To upload custom icons to the Authoring Tool:

1. Select the type of hotspot for which you want to change the image from the drop-down menu for either eText icons or iPad icons. For example Audio is selected in the following image.

2. Click the Browse button to select the image you want to upload from your system. The selected image is reflected in the View Current Icon Palette.

Once a new image is selected, it appears in View Current Icon Palette, as the following figure shows:

Note: If you change an image in View Current Icon Palette, changed image becomes visible in icon drop-down in the Authoring toolbar on the top.

To view the default icon for a hotspot type: 

Click the button Revert to Default Icon to display the default icon for the hotspot type.
