Navigating by Keyboard

You can navigate an eText using the keyboard. The following keys perform the actions described in the table.

The key...	Description
Tab	Moves focus around the screen. When the focus is on a drop-down menu, use the Up Arrow and Down Arrow keys to cycle through the options in the menu.
Enter	Opens the selected accordion item in the left navigation pane, such as the Table of Contents, the Index, or the Glossary. Note: This does not select an item within the open navigation pane. You can also use Enter to: Select the highlighted option in a list Submit a page number or zoom level change Submitting a search term
Up and Down Arrows	Moves focus in the left navigation pane from one accordion item to another. When the focus is on the open navigation pane, you can use the Up and Down arrow keys to select an item. To select an item from the open navigation pane: Use the Tab key to place focus on the open pane. Press the Down Arrow key to highlight the top item in the open pane. The Up and Down Arrow keys can then navigate within the open pane.
Left and Right Arrow	Opens and closes folders with in the open left navigation pane. The Right Arrow key opens a folder and moves down one level in the hierarchy. The Left Arrow keys closed a folder and up one level in the hierarchy.
Page up and Page Down	Pages through the eText when focus is in the left navigation pane.
