Upload from your computer into Golden Gate

Only .ePub files can be uploaded into Golden Gate. An ePub file for Revel or eText 2.0 should be no larger than 2 GB. Note that large files will take additional time to process.

  1. Select the File Upload tab.
  2. If you are uploading a Revel or Sumatra title you must choose a Product Type, either Revel or Sumatra.
  3. Click Choose File from the File Upload tab.

    If you are uploading a title for eText 2.0, you also need to select an option for Enabling Offline Support.

    • Entire ePub: Enables the full book to be downloaded for offline use for the eText 2.0 app
    • Individual TOC Levels: Enables individual sections to be available for offline use for the eText 2.0 app (Note: Uploading Individual TOC levels is not supported for Revel or Sumatra titles.)
  4. Either browse to identify the ePub file for upload or drag and drop the file onto the colored box.

    A progress bar appears, with the ePub file name and MB size listed above the bar.

  5. Select Upload to start the upload.

    The progress bar shows the progression of the file upload process. You will also see an alert telling you that the title is being initialized. Click Close to return to the upload screen.

You can also upload files using their URL path.

  1. Choose the URL Upload tab.
  2. Type or paste the entire URL of the desired file including the file name. The URL must be from the following list:
    • http://{*}.pearsoncmg.com/..
    • https://{*}.pearsoncmg.com/..
    • http://{*}.pearsoncms.com/..
    • https://{*}.pearsoncms.com/..

    A progress bar appears, with the ePub file name and MB size listed above the bar.

  3. Select Upload to start the upload.

    The progress bar shows the progression of the file upload process. You will also see an alert telling you that the title is being initialized. Click Close to return to the upload screen.

Does your upload seem stuck or is it taking an unusually long time? This may be due to the file size or server traffic. An average upload of an ePub file for Revel or eText 2.0 should not take longer than about 15 minutes. Larger files, files exceeding 500 MB may take longer to upload. You can click the Cancel button to cancel the process.

After the title is uploaded, the Review screen is displayed. Here you can make sure you have uploaded the correct file. You can also check the book Versions that have been uploaded and the title's Activity Log by clicking on the appropriate buttons.
