-
Enter a Name for the course, which students will see.
You can edit the Name later anytime in the course settings.
- [Optional] Select a Discipline.
- Click Save and Continue.
-
On the Settings page, edit any of the default settings you would like to change, and then click Save.
You can return to edit any of these course settings later by choosing Settings.

You see the list of your courses, which you can sort by any column.
- Click Copy a course.
-
Select the course to Copy from, and click OK.
The new copy appears in your Courses list, with the name "Copy of [original course name]." All modules in the original course are copied using the same "Copy of" naming convention.
Student data associated with the original course is not copied into the new copy.
-
Open the Settings page to make changes to any course information, and then click Save.
Two options are available for copying another instructor's course:
Send course (a separate copy that is safe to edit)
- The other instructor sends a copy of the course to you. You can now edit the course without changing the other instructor's course, and you can make your own copies, as described in the previous section.
- You receive an email invitation and click Accept this invitation in the message.
- You are prompted to log in to Learning Catalytics.
-
After you sign in, click and see a copy of the other instructor's course in your My Courses list.
You can safely edit this copy or make additional copies of the course without interfering with the other instructor's original course.
Share course (only if you will be co-teaching or assisting)
- The other instructor shares the course with you.
- You receive an email invitation and click Accept this invitation in the message.
- You are prompted to log in to Learning Catalytics.
-
After you sign in, click and see the other instructor's course in your My Courses list.
Important: You now have full access to the course as a co-teacher or assistant. Any changes you make in the course are reflected in the other instructor's original course.
If you want to edit the course or use it with another group of students, be careful to first make your own copy of the course.
