Enter student IDs

If you plan on downloading student scores in order to upload them into another system, such as a Learning Management System (LMS), you may also want to enter their student IDs. The student IDs can match school IDs, a Learning Management System's IDs, or they can follow some other format or convention you choose. When you later download scores from Learning Catalytics as a spreadsheet (.csv file), you can use the student ID column to help combine Learning Catalytics grades with grades from other sources.

You or your students can enter student IDs. You enter their IDs on the Students page; students can enter their IDs on their My Account page.

  1. Click the Courses tab at the top of the Learning Catalytics page.
  2. Click the course for which you want to enter student IDs.
  3. Click Students.
  4. Click in a student's Student ID column and enter the ID.

This information is here in case you want to explain it to your students. There is also a procedure in the student Help explaining how to do this.

When a student logs into Learning Catalytics, the student's login name is displayed in the upper right of the Learning Catalytics window.

Students click their names to display their My Account page. From here they can update their account information, enter or update their Student IDs, and update their Pearson profile if needed.
