Learning Catalytics automatic and manual scoring

If you assign point values to questions in a module, many student responses are scored automatically, based on correct answers stored with the questions. For responses that aren't scored automatically, the initial score is 0. You can manually mark the answer as correct, which results in awarding all points, if any, that you have allotted for that question.

Regardless of whether a response is graded automatically or manually, any correct response receives the number of points allotted for the question in the module, and any incorrect response receives 0 points. (Partial credit cannot be awarded.)

Key:

Always automatically scored. You can manually change any grade to correct or incorrect.
Possibly automatically scored. For details about how to create one of these questions so that it is automatically scored, see Options for different question types. (Even if responses aren't scored automatically, you can manually grade them as correct or incorrect.)
Never automatically scored. You can manually grade responses as correct or incorrect.
