Use the Book XML Editor to edit the table of contents (TOC) for Mastering titles. Note that the book XML must already exist for the title. If not, use the Create/Replace Book XML feature to upload the book XML.
The right-click menu provides a shortcut for adding, renaming, or deleting a tier.
Tier titles and codes must be unique within the selection.
A gray tier name means that the tier has been designated not to appear in the Item Library.
When you upload a TOC, codes are assigned automatically. The codes are unique numbers used as identifiers and are not used to sequence information in a numeric order.
To cancel all changes you have made since your last save: Click Revert to Last Save. (There is no Undo button for incremental changes.)
When you select a tier, the edit box appears at the bottom of the screen.
Click the Edit Tier button.
Edit the tier, as needed: You can edit its title, code, and choose whether to clear or check the Show in Library check box (controls whether the tier appears in the Item Library).
Click Update Tier when you are finished editing an individual tier.
When you are finished making changes, click Save TOC. The system replaces the last saved TOC with the new version.
Select the tier and drag it to the position you want.
To move the tier to the same indent level: Drag it up or down to the location. An indicator line shows the location for the drop.
To place the tier within a section: Drag it on top of the tier folder. An indicator arrow shows the location for the drop.
Duplicate tier codes
Changing the location of a tier can create a duplicate tier code. The system alerts you if the code is not unique within the section. Edit the code as needed.
