Manage My Items (your custom items)

When you use the Simple Editor to copy and edit items, create items, or edit imported items, all of these are classified as 
My Items.
Only you can see, copy, or edit My Items in your personal view of the Item Library unless you add them to a course assignment.
Find My Items in the Item Library
My items are available to you in the Item Library within the product discipline, like Mastering Chemistry, not just in the currently selected course.
- Select Instructor Tools, then Item Library from the Modified Mastering course menu.
For Mastering courses, select Item Library from the course menu.
- Search for My Items in the Item Library.
Choose a Book/Source and chapter, then select the My Items from the Item Types options.- Items you copy and edit — These ARE associated with the same chapter as the original item in the Item Library.
- Items you create or import — These are NOT automatically associated with a specific book chapter. The same is true for My Items when the course has been updated to a new edition.
- To find a customized item not associated with a chapter — Select the chapter No Chapter Specified.
- To change the associated chapter for an item — See Associate your items with chapters.
- My Items are never marked as New in the Item Library.
Share My Items with students and section instructors
Only you can access My Items you've edited, created, or imported, until you add these items to an assignment.
- Students can see these items as soon as you make the assignment available (Available From and Available Until dates).
- For section instructors to be able to edit such items, give them Assignments privilege.
You can include My Items in assignments among any of your courses within a discipline, like Mastering Biology.
