Develop your content
Updated 17 Aug 2021
You can supplement your courses with new content of your own. By adding and editing your own content, you provide a rich learning experience for your students.
You can add content pages to your courses, then add text and media. The content editor lets you format your content pages easily. You can link to external websites, as well as create links to uploaded content files of many formats, including PDF, HTML, video, audio, and image files, and common document formats (.docx, .xlsx, .pptx).
For more information about adding your own content pages, files, and links, see:

You can associate a PDF, HTML, image, video, or other media file with a menu item. When you upload a content file as a menu item, the upload automatically converts the file to a web-ready format that loads quickly and doesn't require students to install associated plug-ins. For example, you can create a menu item and link it to a PDF file that you upload. When your students select the menu item, the PDF file content appears in the content pane. Or create a menu item that links to a video you upload. When your students select the menu item, the video plays in the content pane.

There is no storage space limit for a course, but try to keep each file you upload smaller than 10 MB to ensure that files upload successfully. To include content that is larger than 10 MB, upload the file to an external server then link to the URL from a Linked Content menu item or add a website link on a content page.
