Browser or network setting issues
Updated 29 Aug 2024
If you can't submit answers in a Mastering assignment, your browser or network security levels may not be set correctly.
Checking system requirement instructions available from the AskPearson site can help you resolve your browser setting issue, such as to allow cookies or enable pop-ups from the Mastering site.
If the computer you're using is on a network (such as a university network, library, or computer lab), are other people seeing the same problem? Does the same problem happen with a computer that's not on the same network?
If everyone on the network is having the same problem, it's probably a network security issue.
In rare cases, educational networks identify students' Mastering answers as insecure communications, and stop all answers getting through to Pearson. This is due to network security issues. Usually this type of issue is caught quickly when an alert student realizes that his or her submitted answers aren't being reported to the Scores area.
