Multiple Mastering courses
If you registered for Mastering and can still sign in to the first course, you may not need to re-register (with an access code or by buying access) to join the second course based on the same textbook.
- This applies even if the first course is a standard Mastering course and the second course is a Mastering course.
- However, it does NOT apply if the textbook edition is newer in the Mastering course. See instructions below about joining another course.
- You may be able to participate in up to four Mastering courses in the same discipline for as long as you can still access a Mastering course. The Mastering courses can be concurrent or consecutive, spread across several school terms. Your instructor controls the end date for each course. (You cannot access any course after its end date.)
- Register each time you need access to a course based on a unique textbook.
If two Mastering courses are based on the SAME textbook edition, you only need to redeem one code or purchase access online once before joining both Mastering courses. If you'll participate in two different Mastering courses in the same discipline with DIFFERENT textbooks, you need to either redeem two access codes, make two separate access purchases online, or do one of each.
- Identify the SAME Pearson student account each time you register for Mastering. To do this, answer Yes to the online question "Do you have a Pearson account?" Then, enter your existing username and password.
- Sign in to an active Mastering course with the username and password that you specified during registration.
- Select My Courses (top left) and then choose .
- Enter the course ID from your instructor (exactly as provided to ensure that you join the right course) and select Continue.
- If asked, enter your student ID according to the instructions provided and select Continue. If you want to consult with your instructor first, you can skip this step and edit your student ID after you join the course.
- You should see the Course Home page of the additional course.
