When available, the eText and Study Area complement the book title or other resource that appears at the top of the Course Home when you sign in.

Choosing Pearson eText from the course menu either lets you open the eText or gives you the option to buy access to the eText, if your Mastering subscription does not provide this. More about the Pearson eText

This means these kinds of study resources may not be available for the book or other publisher resource you selected (when you first signed in), or for the book or other publisher resource associated with the Mastering course you joined.
