Hide or show menu items

You can hide menu items from students in the course menu. For example, you can hide a content page until you want students to see it. You can show or hide a menu item at any time.
To hide an item in your instructor view of the course menu, as well as your students' course menu, you instead archive the menu item. Later you can restore the menu item.
Hide a menu item in the student view
- Select Manage Course from the course menu so that Edit Course Menu becomes active.
- On the Edit Course Menu page, use Visible to students for the menu item row that you want to hide. If needed, select
to expand submenu (child) items.
You can also hide or show menu items as you add new menu items.
In the course menu, menu items hidden from students display 
(or 
in older courses).
