Export a document

In the composing space, you can export a document to a. pdf, .html, .doc (Microsoft® Office Word 97 – 2003 document), .rtf (rich text format), or .txt (text) file. The first procedure below has the steps for exporting a document to any of these file formats. If you are exporting to Microsoft Word and the original document has images, also follow the steps in the second procedure.

Note: When you export a document that has an audio comment, the exported document does not include either the audio comment or a link to it.

To export a document from the composing space:

  1. Display the document in the composing space.

Either open the assignment or use the File – Open command to display the document. (Where is the File menu?)

  2. Select the File – Export menu command.
  3. Select the format for the exported file.
  4. Click the Submit button.
  5. Select whether to Open or Save the file.

If you select to open the file, you still need to save the opened file to your system.

  2. Open the exported document in Word.
  3. Select the Edit – Links menu command.

A window opens listing all the linked images in the file.

  5. Click the Update Now button to update the links.

The images should now be displayed in your document.
