Reset exercise scores

After completing an exercise, a student can click its link and retake the exercise. As soon as the student opts to retake the exercise, the MyLab erases the old score and the student's new score will be displayed in Resources and the gradebook.

You can also reset a student's exercise scores so the student can retake the exercises. The score the student receives after retaking the exercises will be displayed in Resources and the gradebook.

The scores can be reset from the gradebook page that displays a specific student's work on a Resource topic's assets. You can get to this page from either the Student Results Summary or the Topic Results Summary.

To reset a student's score:

Do one of the following:
Display the topic asset details from the Student Results Summary.
1. Click the Gradebook tab.
2. Click Student Results Summary.
3. Click the student's score in the All Resources Average column.
4. Click the topic for which you want to reset exercise scores.
Display the topic asset details from the Topic Results Summary.
1. Click the Gradebook tab.
2. Click Topic Results Summary.
3. Display the topic for which you want to reset a student's scores.
4. Click the name of the student's whose scores you want to reset.
Select the Reset Scores check box(es) for the exercises you want to reset. (The check boxes are in the rightmost column.)
Click the Reset Scores button below the grid.
