Instructor and student views

The Student View and Instructor View options (at the top of the course window) toggle between your working view of the course and what your students see. For example, your view of the Gradebook is different from a student's view. Select Student View to see the page as your students see it. While you are working in Resources, another option is to click the Preview as Student button at the top of the lists. To return to your view of the page, select Instructor View at the top of the course window.

While you are in student view, you can also work through Resource exercises and open and work through a composition, diagnostic, skill-building, or portfolio assignment. (You cannot open a peer-review or collaboration assignment because you are not a member of a student group.) For a diagnostic or skill-building assignment, the MyLab records your score in the Gradebook, but does not include your grade in any Gradebook calculations.

When you are in student view, clicking the Help link (at the top of the course window) displays the MyLab's student Help.

Note: Student view is a representation of what your students see; some features are not displayed exactly as they are to a student. Also, student view does not provide access to a student's account.
