Choose How You Will Work
The first time you log in, the MyLab displays the Choose How You'll Work screen. You also use this screen when you are joining another MyLab course.
Select one of the following choices:
- Join Your Instructor's Course: Select this option to join a course set up by your instructor. When you join a course, the instructor grades your writing submissions, your grades are tracked, and the instructor can monitor your progress. In order to join your instructor's course, you must have the Course ID. You get this ID from the instructor. See To join your instructor's course for help with joining a course.
- Work on Your Own: For this option you need to select either the generic, text, or eText that matches your access code. It is a good idea to have the text or access code card handy to ensure you choose the correct course. See To work on your own for help with finding the course.
Tip: Not sure which one to select? Exit out of the program and ask your instructor. The next time you log in, the MyLab displays these choices again.
