The Home Page
The Home page is the center of course activity and presents summary information about the course and links to course elements.
You can use the blocks and links on the Home page to navigate your course.
The four blocks on this page provide the following information:
- My Course: Displays the
course's name, section, and ID; the number of students enrolled; and the
number of alerts. Click the Add Note button to post a note to your students, which they can open the note from their Home page. Click the View button to display the Settings
page where you can customize course settings, including the Study
Plan and your personal account.
- Submissions: Displays
the number of student submissions that you need to grade. Click either the View button or a link in this block to go to the Submissions
page where you can review and grade submissions. (You can also click the Submissions tab to display the Submissions page.)
- My Gradebook: Displays
a high-level summary of the students' progress to date. Click either the View button in this block or the Gradebook tab to view the
Gradebook reports. The reports provide you with class averages for all activities as well
as information on individual students, diagnostic tests, and topics.
- Other Resources: Provides access to the File Manager, which you use to upload and post files, and lists any files you have posted. If applicable, this block displays a link to your course's eText. (Clicking the link opens the eText in a separate window.) The Other Resources block also lists
the resources available
to you and your students through the MyLab. Click the appropriate link
to visit a resource.
As you can see, your MyLab presents more than one way
to access course features; choose the method that best suits your
preferences.
