Study Plan: Reading Level Tab

The Reading Level tab appears in the Study Planonly if your instructor has chosen to work with both reading skills and reading levels. The Reading Level tab displays the Reading Level topics and your Lexile Measures.

The Lexile Measure is an assessment of your reading level, and the levels range from 400 to 1490. The goal is to have your Current Lexile Measure become higher than your Initial Lexile Measure. (The Initial Lexile Measure is also called the Reading Level Locator. This measure is the result of the reading-level diagnostic pre-test (the Lexile diagnostic).

As you work with the reading-level topics, note the following:

To search for a topic, enter a search term in the text box, then click the Search Study Plan button. Or, to search the web, click the Search Web button.
Any icons displayed in the topic list are explained in the Icon Key pop-up. Place the mouse pointer over the Icon Key link to display the pop-up.
Click the Title, Subject, or Type column heading to sort the topic list by that column.
