Change an Automated-Feedback Score

Use this procedure if you want to overwrite a student's score from the automated feedback. This procedure is particularly useful when you are not allowing students to submit their Writing Practice exercises to you.

When students can submit their exercises to you, the score you enter automatically overrides the score from the automated feedback.

To change a student's automated-feedback score:

  1. Click the Gradebook tab.
  2. Click Class Summary.
  3. Click the student's name to display the Student Detail report.
  4. Scroll down to the Writing Practice section of the report
  5. Click the blue plus sign blue plus sign next to exercise's title.
  6. Click the exercise's score in the Score column.

The Score column now displays a linked score for each submission of the exercise.

    The Draft History window opens.

  7. Locate the feedback for which you want to change the score in the Draft History window.
  8. Click the Edit Score link.

Screen shot showing the Edit Score link for the student's Overall Score.

The MyLab closes the Draft History window and displays the student's submission in the Grade Exercise window.

  9. Enter the grade you want the student to have in the Score text box. (The score must be a whole number in the range of 1 through 6.)
  10. Click the Edit Score button.

The MyLab updates the score in the Gradebook.
