Assign Topics and Diagnostic Activities

1. Click the Study Plan tab.
2. Click Edit Study Plan and Set Due Dates.

   The Writing Skills tab is displayed.

3. Click a topic grouping to display its topics.
4. Click the topic's Require button.

   The Add/Edit Due Date window is displayed.

5. Do one of the following:
   • To set a due date, select that date from the calendar.

     To display a different month, click the arrow keys on either side of the month and year name.
     

   • To assign the topic without setting a due date, select No Due Date.
6. Click the Save button.

   If you selected a due date, the Study Plan displays that date in the Require column. If instead you selected No Due Date, the Study Plan displays Required in the Require column.

7. (Optional) Click the View Calendar tab and click the week for which you required topics to verify the list of required topics.

1. Click the Study Plan tab.
2. Click Edit Study Plan and Set Due Dates.

   The diagnostic pre-tests are at the top of the writing-skills topic list, and the post-tests are at the bottom of the list.

3. Click either Diagnostic Pre-Tests or Diagnostic Post-Tests.
4. The Study Plan displays the diagnostic's Activities list.
5. Click an activity's Require button.

   The Add/Edit Due Date window is displayed.

6. Do one of the following:
   • To set a due date, select that date from the calendar.

     To display a different month, click the arrow keys on either side of the month and year name.
     

   • To assign the topic without setting a due date, select No Due Date.
7. Click the Save button.

   If you selected a due date, the Study Plan displays that date in the Require column. If instead you selected No Due Date, the Study Plan displays Required in the Require column.

8. (Optional) Display the assignment calendar and click the week for which you required topics to verify the required topics and diagnostic activities.

When you remove a topic or diagnostic activity from the required state, it no longer appears in the calendar or the Required Work Detail report.

1. Click the Study Plan tab.
2. Click Edit Study Plan and Set Due Dates.
3. Do one of the following:
   • To edit or remove the setting from a topic, click a topic grouping to display its topics.
   • To edit or remove the setting from a diagnostic activity, click either Diagnostic Pre-Tests or Diagnostic Post-Tests.
4. Place the mouse pointer over the topic's or activity's notation in the Require column to display the Edit Date button.

   As an example, this user has two required topics.

   

   When the user positions the mouse pointer over the 10/10/2011 due date, the MyLab displays the Edit Date button.

   

5. Click the Edit Date button.

   The Add/Edit Due Date window is displayed.

6. Do one of the following:
   • To change the due date, select that date from the calendar.
   • To remove the due date, select No Due Date.
   • To remove this topic or activity from the required state, select Remove from Required Status.
7. Click the Save button.
