The Study Plan
The Study Plan is where you access the topics and exercises that will help you improve your writing skills. To display
the Study Plan, click the Study Plan tab.
As you work in the Study Plan you can:
- Search for a topic: Enter a search term in
the text box, then click the Search Study Plan button.
Or, to search the web, click the Search Web button.
- Display the icon legend: Place the mouse pointer over to display the legend that describes the icons used in the Study Plan.
- Use the drop-down list at the top of a topic list to control which topics are listed:
To Do List: Shows all topics you have yet to master. (Mastered means you have passed or accomplished the goal of the topic.)
Mastered Topics: Shows all topics you have mastered and any that you have exhausted (answered all the questions but not mastered). Any exhausted topics are flagged as alerts and the alerts are sent to the instructor.
All Topics: Shows all topics in the Study Plan.
The Study Plan has the following tabs:
- Writing Skills The Writing Skills topics have activities aimed at helping you improve your writing. See Writing Skills Topics for more information.
- Writing Practice These practice exercises give you the opportunity to submit your writing for an automated assessment of the six writing traits. See Writing Practice Exercises for more information.
- View Calendar The calendar helps you stay on track with completing any assigned topics and diagnostic activities on time. See Assignment Calendar and Assigned Topics and Diagnostic Activities for more information.
