Every instructor and teaching assistant account has a default student account called "_student, _student" that lets you view course materials as students enrolled in your course see them.
To view your course materials as a student:
Click Go to Student View in the top-right corner of the page. The display changes to a fully functional student view.
To switch back to instructor mode, click Return to Instructor View in the top right corner of the page.

While you can see any grades you receive when viewing and working with course material as the default student (_student, _student), these grades are not tracked or recorded in any reports nor are they used to report class averages or other gradebook calculations.
You cannot change the time zone for the demo (_student, _student) student from Eastern Standard Time, even if you set your time zone as an instructor to another time zone. This restriction may cause assignments that are due close to 12 midnight to appear on the assignment calendar on the next day for instructors in later time zones such as Mountain or Pacific Time. Keep in mind that the accurate view of your assignment calendar is the instructor view, which correctly displays the time zone you selected. Your students will be able to set their time zone and their assignments will appear and be due on the correct day and time.
