Set Copy Content preferences

Use the Preferences > Copy Content page to determine which course materials you can copy between the courses in which you are enrolled. You can set preferences that let you copy materials to and from the Course Materials Library, Question Bank, and My Course sections of your course or from a Pearson-provided shared library.

If you enable copying, you can navigate to other courses (from the same Pearson course URL) in which you are enrolled and copy and paste materials into your current course or into another course in which you are enrolled.

You may not be able to copy materials between all of your courses. See Use the Change Source menu to copy materials for more details.

Note: The Preferences pages are never available to teaching assistants.

Tip: If you are not sure what a preference setting means, place your cursor over the Help icon to see a tip.

To view or modify Copy Content preferences for your course:

  1. Click Preferences in the top-right corner of the page.
  2. Click Copy Content in the Instructor column.

Copy Content To This Course

In the Copy Content To This Course section, you set whether or not you can copy material into the current course. If you select this option, the Change Source menu is available on the Course Materials > Add from Library and Course Materials > Manage Question Bank pages.

Copy Content From This Course

In the Copy Content From This Course section, you specify what types of material (if any) users can copy from the current course. You also select how you want to restrict the movement of material.

Save preferences

To save your choices, click Save Preferences. When you finish setting preferences, click Save and Close.

Caution: If you go to another page before you save your changes, your changes are discarded and the previous settings are maintained.
