The calendar lets you easily assign activities with due dates. You and your students can use the calendar to locate assigned activities and to view assignment due dates and notes. Icons are used
to identify days on which assignments are due.
Overview
To assign materials or modify assignment settings, click the Assignment Calendar page.
Your course includes two calendar views:
Assignment Calendar: Available when you first open the Assignment Calendar page. Use this calendar view to assign assets.
Advanced Calendar: Available when you click View Advanced Calendar from the Assignment Calendar page. Use this calendar view a full-screen calendar and a more detailed overview of a given month, week, or day.
Each calendar has three views you can select:
Month: Overview of all assets assigned for the
current (or selected) month. Click a day to view the details for that day including assignments due, notes, or assignments scheduled to start.
Week: Overview of all assets assigned for the
current (or selected) week. Click a specific day; for example Monday, to switch to the day view for that day.
Day: Detailed view of assets assigned, scheduled to start, or notes added to
the current (or selected) day.
Calendar icons help you understand what is
available for each day:
Assignment calendar
You use the basic Assignment Calendar to assign assets to the calendar. You can drag and drop them directly on the day you want to make them due, or you can use the asset's options menu to select the Assignment Properties.
Use the options menu to view, change assignment properties for, get information about, or edit the assignment.
Click Back to Month to return to the month view.
Click View Advanced Calendar to open the advanced calendar view. The advanced calendar will open in the same view. For example, if you are in day view, you see the advanced day view and if you are in month view, you see the advanced month view.
Advanced calendar view
Use the advanced view to see a full-screen calendar. From this view, you can manage assignments but not assign assets.
In advanced month view you can:
Place your cursor over the due icon to view details about the assets due on that day. The icon indicates the number of assets that are due.
Click a day to switch to the advanced day view.
In advanced day view you can:
View all the assets that are due.
View all the assets that are scheduled to start that day.
