The activity Grades page lets you select or create a grade schema for an activity. A grade schema identifies a set of scores, each of which corresponds to a range of raw or percentage scores students might receive.
For example, you can create a 5-point grade schema (A, B, C, D, and F), where each grade corresponds to a range of raw scores (A = 91 - 100, B = 81 - 90, C= 71 - 80, and so on.)
You can select or create a grade schema and apply it to an individual activity when you create or edit it. You can also select or create a grade schema and apply it to all activities of the same activity type in the course.
Note: Similarly, you can also define and apply a grade schema to an individual
In the Add New Schema window, enter a Grade Schema Name and Description.
To create the grade range, click Add Grade, enter a grade (such as A A+, or A–), and then enter the lower limit in % Score from and the upper limit in % Score to.
The first grade range must start with zero (0). The grade range must be from 0 to 100 and ranges cannot overlap. For example, if you enter 0 to 79 as the first grade range, the next range must start at 80, not 79.
Note: To add more grade ranges, click Add Grade. To delete a grade range, select it and click Delete Grade.
After you select a schema, the defined grade ranges appear, including:
To save activity preferences, click Save. To continue creating your activity, click Save and Continue.
Note: You can still select an individual activity and apply another grading option—raw score, percentage, or another grade schema—to it at any time.
