Viewing Student Actions
Updated 19 Feb 2024
The student’s actions are displayed in the Action pane in the order in which they occurred. When multiple actions occur for a specific step, the actions are grouped by steps in the activity. The status of the action is displayed below the action text, which describes the action taken. Possible action statuses are:
- Correct
- Incorrect
- Incomplete
Actions being simulated in the playback area are also highlighted in the Action pane. For example, when Ribbon: Home tab: Font group: Bold is highlighted in the Action pane, the mouse moves and keyboard strokes resulting in this action text are being simulated in the playback area.
You can toggle between showing and hiding the Action pane by selecting the Show / Hide Actions button at the top right corner of the application window. Additionally, user actions are also displayed as popover balloon / annotations in the main playback area as they are simulated.
Annotations are briefly displayed. The color of the popover balloon depends on the type of action taken:
- Green indicates correct action
- Red indicates incorrect action
- Orange indicates incomplete action.
- Blue balloons indicate informational (safe) action.
Jumping to a Step
You can jump directly to a step during playback by either:
- Selecting it from the time line.
- Selecting it from the Action pane. Alternatively, select any action in the Action pane to launch its parent step.
