Set Course Channels preferences

The Preferences > Course Channels page lets you control:
- Which channels instructors and students see on their Today's View page.
- The order in which channels appear by default when course members first sign in.
- Whether or not you and students can hide, move, or add channels on the Today's View page.
The Course Channels page has two sections:
- Channels available to Instructors
- Channels available to Students
Each section lists the available channels. Make the following choices in both the Channels available to Instructors and Channels available to Students sections on the page:
- Enable: Select Enable to make the channel available. If the Enable box is cleared, users cannot view or add the channel to their Today's View page.
- Channel Order: Select the appropriate number from the list to set the order (or position) of the channel on the Today's View page. Channels are listed in two columns (left and right) on the Today's View page; you set the order in each column separately.
- Whether instructors and students can change the channel order, add channels to, or hide channels from their Todays' View page.
- To let instructors customize their Todays' View page, select Instructors can customize their Home Page.
- To let students customize their Todays' View page, select Students can customize their Home Page.
When these options are cleared, the respective users cannot reorder or change the channels that appear on their Todays' View page.
- Click Today's View or Course Materials > Add From Library or Course Materials > Manage Course Materials.
- Click the preferences icon .
- Close the Basic Preferences dialog box that appears.
- Click Course Channels in the Instructor column.
Save preferences
To save your choices, click Save Preferences. When you finish setting preferences, click Save and Close.
If you go to another page before you save your changes, your changes are discarded and the previous settings are maintained.
Additional actions
On any Preference page, you can:
- Save your changes by clicking Save Preferences. If you go to another page before you save your changes, your changes are ignored and the previous settings are maintained.
- Generate a report of the settings you selected by clicking the download icon .
