Control who can access assignments and when

You can schedule or assign an asset so that it is only available to certain students or groups of students. For information on assigning assets, see Assign course materials using the options menu.
- Go to the Assignment Calendar.
- Locate and point to the asset whose availability you want to controlClick the three dot button to the right of the asset's name to view its context menu.

Select Properties from the asset's context menu.
You can only assign assets that are visible to your students. If the asset or folder is currently hidden, click Yes at the prompt that asks whether you want to display and assign it.
- In the Make item available to section, select an option:
- All Students: Make the asset available to all students.
- Selected Students: Make the asset available to specific students or groups.
To assign the asset to all students, select the box for Name (all students).

To assign the asset to specific students or groups, select Selected Students.
- Use the View by menu to view a list of Students or Groups.
- Select the students or groups who should receive the assignment.
- Click Add.
- To set additional options, continue to the next step. When you finish, click Save or click Save and Continue if you are assigning the asset with multiple due dates or to specific students.
To remove a student you selected, select the student name in the Selected Students list and click Remove.

- To schedule when the asset is visible to students, see Schedule or restrict assignment availability.
- To have the asset open in a pop-up window, open full screen, or require a password, see Set assignment and asset properties.
- When you finish, click Save and Close.
