Display performance information

The detailed performance data t gives you an overview of how students are performing. Performance is summarized and calculated for activities, study plan or readiness check pre-tests, and study plan or readiness check post-tests that you specify on the Preferences > Grading page or when you customize your notifications.
To view detailed performance information, click Detailed Performance from Today's View. Then select one of the following tabs:
At the top of the Performance page, you can view the following details:
- What's being calculated?: Displays the calculation criteria used to obtain the performance report. You define this criterion from the Edit calculation settings link that appears when you customize Today's view. It also appears on the Preferences > Grading page.
- Last updated: Displays the date and time that calculations were last updated.
- Go to the Today's View page.
- Click Customize.
- Select from the following Performance settings:
- Edit calculation settings: Click to open the Edit calculation settings window.
- Enable Course Performance: Click to display Course Performance notifications. When enabled, you can also choose to show or hide the Time on Task column, which displays the total time spent by the student per activity, in HH:MM format.
- Enable Student Performance: Click to display Student Performance notifications. When enabled, you can also choose to show or hide the Time on Task column, which displays the total time spent by the student per activity, in HH:MM format.
- Click Save and Close.
To remove performance data, clear that statistic's check box. If you choose to hide one or both notifications, the class and folder average columns still appear in the gradebook.
To remove performance statistics and also remove the columns from the gradebook, clear the Enable folder level calculations for Gradebook and Performance channel option on the Preferences > Grading page.
Course Performance
Course Performance displays the average course performance at the folder (chapter) level and individual activity or readiness check or study plan level. You can view overall course performance and determine where students are under-performing.
From the Notifications page, click Course Performance to display the following details:
- Grade %: Displays the average, cumulative grade-to-date for the selected folder or for materials in the folder. By default, the gradebook column displays the average of all assigned activities and study plan or readiness checks in a folder regardless of the folder structure. If an activity is assigned more than once in a course, the activity is counted each time it appears.
You can specify a different calculation and specify which activity types to include by editing calculation settings.
- Content Completed %: Displays the percentage of assignments completed at the overall folder level, or assignments completed in a specific folder. The percentage of assignments completed within each folder is calculated.
- Time on Task: Displays the total time, in HH:MM format, taken to complete all activities and readiness check or study plans or all material in the selected folder.

- The data that appears depends on the calculation options you chose. If, for example, you want to calculate the total time spent on activities, select sum rather than average as the calculation type.
- The Course Performance report displays readiness check or study plan data as well as activity data if you select Enable Study plan results when you edit calculation settings.
Student Performance
Clicking Student Performance displays a performance report for an individual enrolled and active student in the course with the following details:
- Student: Displays the last name and first name of enrolled and active students in the class. Click a student name to display that student's first-level folders and activities or study plan or readiness checks. Select a folder to display the folder assets.
- Grade %: Displays an individual student's cumulative grade-to-date average , grade-to-total average, or both averages for the selected folder or selected course materials within the folder. By default, the gradebook column displays the average of all assigned activities and readiness check or study plans in a folder regardless of the folder structure. If an activity is assigned more than once in a course, the activity is counted each time it appears.
