Add teaching support materials
Updated 19 Feb 2024
When available, the Teaching Support page lets you define materials and links that you and other course instructors can access while previewing an activity. This information can improve your understanding of the activity. You can define links to an asset in the Course Materials Library, to a website, or to a Pearson eText.
The Teaching Support page is available only for activities set to the basic/random behavioral mode. You must select Enable Teaching Support tab on the Preferences > General page to use this feature.
The support information you add on the Teaching Support page of an activity can include text instructions and links to other resources.
To add text information, enter up to 5000 alphanumeric characters in the Add Text section. This text appears in the Notes for an activity. You can leave the section blank if you want to display only links.

- Click Add Links and select the appropriate option:
- To link to an asset in the Course Materials Library, click Select from Course Materials Library, select the material, and click Add and Close.
- To link to a website, click Add Link to Website, type a name for the link, enter the URL, and click Add.
- To link to a student edition of an eText, click Add eText Link. This option is available only if Pearson student edition eTexts are associated with your material. Select whether you want to:
- Create a New eText Link: If you select this option, enter a title, select the eText book, and enter the eText page number that should open, and click Add. If you leave the page number blank, the link opens the home page of the eText. You are prompted to save any links you create to the Course Materials Library.

The material appears on the Teaching Support page. The Link Name and Type also appears.
