Preview or try out questions
Updated 19 Feb 2024
When you preview a question, you can view the question text and answers, but you cannot submit the question for grading. When you try out a question you can answer, submit, and view the summary report for the question the same way students would.
Preview questions
You can preview questions in the question preview window. At the top of the question preview window, you can view the total number of times the question was attempted and the number of times it was correctly answered (also shown as a percentage). The question preview window is available:
- MyLab IT instructors: On the Questions page when you create or edit activities. Click Show Question Preview and select the question you want to preview.
- MyLab Languages instructors: On the Questions page when you create or edit activities. Click Add Questions > Select Questions from Bank. Click Show Question Preview or Show preview and select the question you want to preview.
- From the Preview button when you create or edit new questions. Click the Preview button to preview the new question.
- When viewing the Question Bank on the Course Materials > Manage Question Bank or the Course Materials > Additional Instructor Views > Manage Question Bank page. Click to highlight the question you want to preview in the window on the right of the page.
