Restrict access to readiness check materials

Updated 19 Feb 2024

You can require students to enter a password to open the readiness check pre-test, study materials, or post-test. You can also restrict access to readiness check elements to certain machines.

The ability to restrict the actual readiness check elements, rather than the readiness checks as a whole is only available in courses in which the readiness check appears in expanded view.

  1. On the Preferences > Study Plan page, ensure Display expanded study plan on Course Materials page is selected (if available to you).
  2. Go to the Course Materials > Manage Course Materials page.
  3. Select Open Study Plan from the readiness check options menu.
  4. Depending on the element you want to restrict, from the options menu of the pre-test, post-test, or study materials, select Restrict Access.

The Restrict Access window includes the following options to restrict access:

  • Require proctor password
  • Restrict access to this item to the following locations

Require proctor password

Require proctor password: Require students to enter a password to open the readiness check element. Type the password in the text box. If you want the password to appear as characters rather than as a series of dots, also click Show password.
