Enable course mail

Before you can use mail in your course, you need to make sure it's available. If enabled, it appears on the Communicate page. If it does not appear, you need to enable it for both instructors and students.

  1. Click Preferences > Course Tools.
  2. Locate the Communicate area at the bottom of the Instructor Tools section.
  3. Select Enable to the right of Mail.
  4. Locate the Communicate area at the bottom of the Student Tools section.
  5. Again, select Enable to the right of Mail.
  6. Click Save Preferences.

After you enable the course mail tool, it appears as “Mail” on the Communicate page.
