View your grades

Updated 27 Jul 2022

You can click Grades or Grades > Grades to view your grades on assignments you have submitted. If your instructor has created an alternate view of your grades, you can click Grades > Custom View to see it. To view your grades on a study plan, click View Grades on a page in the study plan.

If your course includes rubric activities, the activity status (completed, in progress, or not attempted) appears instead of an activity grade.

Rubrics are scoring guides that seek to evaluate your performance based on a full range of criteria rather than a single numerical score.

Depending on your course design, you may be able to view the answers you submitted along with any related messages. You can also view the grade history of an assignment and view previous versions of auto-graded essays including any feedback.

You may be able to see an overview of your progress in the Notifications channel on the Today's View page.

Watch a video on the Grades page (also called the Gradebook) to learn more about it.

Customizing the Display

You can control the assignments shown by filtering the display:

  • Use Assignment Types and Select Folder menus to filter which data appears.
  • Use the Search Activity field to select the activities that are shown.
  • Use the filter buttons to the right of the Select Folder menu to show only the data you want to view. You can tell if any of these buttons is activity by the heavy border along the bottom of the button.

    • The Assigned button shows only the assigned activities.

To see items for a specific date, select the Assigned buttom and select a date from the calendar. To select a range of date, select the starting date, hold down the Shift key, and then select the ending date.

    • The Not Pass button shows activities that are pass due or that have a non-passing grade.
    • The Violation button shows items that may not have been completed honestly.
