Using Keyword Search
You can search for a person, product, organization, or other item in RADmin using a full or partial keyword as criteria. A keyword is a term that represents the item, such as a book's title (for example, Beginning Algebra) or a person's name (for example, Sara King). You can also narrow a list of search results using a filter.
To search using a keyword:
- Click People > Search.
- In the Keyword box, enter text using these guidelines:
- Text you enter is not case-sensitive.
- When you enter numbers over 999, do not include comma separators. For example, enter 1250 and not 1,250.
- You can use ? or * as wildcards. To replace exactly one character, use ? as a wildcard. For example, if you enter ?an, for a person's name, the results include Dan, Jan, and Nan. To replace one or more characters, use *. For example, if you enter, geo*y, the results include geometry and geology.
- If you want to find two words together in a phrase, but not separately, surround them with quotation marks. For example, enter "counseling psychology" to search for that exact phrase. The results include Introduction to Counseling Psychology, but not Theories of Counseling and Psychotherapy.
If suggested results are available, they appear as you type.
- Click Search. A list of results appears from which you can select.
Tip: To re-order the results list, click a column header.
- Do one of the following in the results list:
