Review
Review analyzes your draft for broad writing traits, and detects possible spelling, grammar, and style errors. It also provides suggested changes to help you understand and correct these issues.
Review is available on desktops, laptops, and tablets but not on mobile phones.
- Sign in to Pearson Writer.
- On the navigation bar, select Review.
- Copy and paste a file into the Review window.
To upload a file instead, select Upload file, then choose This computer, Google Drive, or Microsoft OneDrive.Files must be 1MB or less.
Supported file formats and sources are doc, docx, html, or txt, Google Drive, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft OneDrive.
- To improve the readability of your work, first look at the suggestions in Paragraph readability.
- Select General analysis.
- To review suggestions for improvement by individual category, select General issues , then a category.

Make changes in the document or in your original document.
If available, you can select a link to automatically insert the suggestion.
- Select Dismiss once you have dealt with a suggestion. Select Hide to hide it.
- To check your work for unacceptable similarities to published works, select Plagiarism.
- To print a copy of your writing with issues highlighted, select a set of issues, then select Print.
- To save your changes and download a copy of your edited writing, select Export.
- Export options depend on the document's original file format. If you imported the paper from Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive, you can save and overwrite any changes you’ve made to the original file or download the file to doc, docx, html, or txt.
- Select Dictionaries & Thesaurus to look up words in an English dictionary, Spanish dictionary, or thesaurus.
