Rearrange menu items
In some courses, instructors and section instructors can change the order of course menu items, including whether a menu item shows as a submenu item (child) of a main menu item.
Rearrange a menu item using drag and drop
- If available in your course, select Manage Course from the course menu so that Edit Course Menu becomes active.
- Select the item's row then drag it to the list location you want. You might need to drag a row more than once to position it where you want.
- Move a menu item (and any submenu items) to another position on the same level — Drag the item row up or down.
- Move a submenu item up a level — Drag the submenu item row to the left.
- Move a menu item down a level — Drag the item row on top of the item for which you want it to be a submenu. Menu items can be nested.
Set the course entry point
The course entry point is the first page your students see when they enter your course. Your course entry point must be a single menu item with no subitems, and it must not be hidden from students.
- Select Manage Course from the course menu so that Edit Course Menu becomes active.
- Select the item row then drag it to the top row in the Edit Course Menu list.
