Use the Tests page
Updated 20 May 2024
The Tests page shows all your assigned tests and other tests that you can take for practice.
To access this page, select Take a Test in the program menu.
Select the name of a test in either of the tables to take the test. You can take practice tests without affecting your grade.
The table of assigned tests displays the following information about each assigned test:
- Due — Shows the
date and time when the test is due, if the test has a due date. If you only see a date, the test
is due at 11:59 PM on that date. If the date is crossed out,
the test is past due.
A flag icon in the Due column means that you must complete a prerequisite test before doing this test. Place your cursor over the flag icon to see information about the prerequisite.
- Assignment — The name of the test. Select the name of a test to open the player and take it. If the due date has passed for a test, the link is disabled.
- Time Limit — The amount of time allowed to take the test, if the test has a time limit.
- Attempts — The number of times you have taken the test and the number of attempts
you are allowed - for example: 1 of 3. The infinity symbol means that an unlimited number of attempts is allowed.
The word "incomplete" displays if you began a test but did not submit it. Depending on how your instructor set up the test, you might be able to re-enter the incomplete test on your own and continue taking it. Or you might need to ask your instructor to allow you back into the test. If your instructor allows you back into the test, "retake allowed" displays in the column.
- Gradebook Score — The
score you received for the test. Select see score to view the
score you received for the test.
If the score shows with an * (asterisk), your instructor has manually changed your score. The following information might display in the column in place of a score:
past due means that the test is past due and you have not worked on it.
-- means that you do not yet have a score for the test. You see the double dash when the test includes an essay question that your instructor has not graded . After the essay question is graded, your score displays. The double dash also appears if your instructor omitted your score from the gradebook.
To display the list of practice tests, select Practice Tests below the assigned tests table.
To see what you need to practice, select Study Plan below the assigned tests table.
The table displays the following information about each practice test:

- Attempts — The number of times you have taken the test and the number of attempts you are allowed - for example: 1 of 3. The infinity symbol means that an unlimited number of attempts is allowed. The word "incomplete" displays if you began a test but did not submit it.
