Pop-up blockers or ad-blocking programs may prevent you from installing course components and from accessing your course. You should disable this kind of software before running the Browser Check or trying work in your course. If disabling a pop-up blocker fails, you may need to remove it.
Most browsers, like Internet Explorer and Firefox, come with built-in pop-up blockers and the procedure for disabling the pop-up blockers depends on the browser you are using. Most pop-up blocking software lets you accept popups from individual websites that you can add to a list of exceptions. You can add Pearson sites to these lists if you don't want to block all pop-ups. For details, see the pop-up blocking information for your browser or standalone software.
