Take tests with JAWS
Updated 24 Jun 2024
When you take quizzes and tests, the player is in test mode.
You can cut, copy, and paste using keyboard shortcuts; you also can use the command-line language to enter special characters and symbols.
Once you start a test, do not click the browser Back button or go to other pages in your course until you complete and submit the assessment.
In test mode, the player displays the following information about the test or quiz:
- The test name.
- The question number you're doing and the number of questions in the test.
- The number of points in the assignment, and the number of points available for the question.
The player has a work area, where you can read the question and enter your answer. It also has the following buttons:
- Overview opens a list of questions in the test so you can open any question.
- Previous displays the previous question in the test.
- Next displays the next question in the test.
- Submit test enters your score in your instructor's gradebook. The Test Summary page opens, where you can view and print your test results. If your instructor allows it, you can also review the test from this page.
