Use Skill Builder

Your homework or practice work might include Skill Builder adaptive help. Skill Builder helps you learn concepts to understand and answer a question.

Skill Builder monitors your answers. When you open Skill Builder, the questions in Skill Builder adjust to what you know. When you finish, Skill Builder closes and returns you to the question.

Your instructor might require you to complete Skill Builder recommendations when you answer a question incorrectly. Skill Builder automatically opens and you must complete the practice before you can return to the homework assignment.

  1. Select Skill builder at the bottom of the player window.

    The top of the player window changes color so you know that you're working in a separate app.
  2. Answer the questions.
  3. A chart The chart shows your progress across three skill levels. When you reach the third level you are ready to return to the homework questions. at the top of the window shows your progress.
  4. Select Return to homework to work on the original question when Skill Builder says that you're ready.

    NOTE: When you review your work, you also can see your Skill Builder practice work.
