Resolved issues

The Attempts per question box works properly. When you choose settings for assignments, you can clear the Attempts per question box.

The program shows the test or quiz Overview window. When a student is in a Lockdown Browser exam, they can select the Overview icon to see a question list.

Known issues

In Integrated Assignments, eText might not load depending on the user’s browser security settings. Enable third-party cookies to open eText in Safari or Firefox, or as an alternative, use the Chrome browser.

Individual student assignment results are not excluded from Overall Score calculations. Individual student assignment results are incorrectly included in the overall score when both:

To work around this issue:

  1. Uncheck Omit unassigned assignments from the Overall Score calculation.
  2. Uncheck Global Omit from Change Weights and save.
  3. Reselect Auto Omit and save.
  4. Reenable Omit Unassigned Assignments and save.

Raw points are sent to the LMS gradebook from a member course that uses weighted points. When grade sync is enabled for a member course but not its coordinator course, changes to the number of points in an assignment in the coordinator course override weighted point settings in the member course. To work around this problem, change grade sync settings to raw points in the member course. When the raw points have been updated in your LMS gradebook, switch the member course settings back to weighted points. Your LMS gradebook will then update with the correct scores.

Instructors with results for an assignment cannot delete the assignment if they are included in the Gradebook averages. Assignments can be deleted only when there are no results, so instructors who have worked in an assignment as a student cannot delete the assignment without first deleting their results. As a workaround, instructors can omit themselves from Gradebook averages and then delete the assignment.

Assigned media that is not associated with an objective is included in results for an objective. From the Performance by Chapter Gradebook view, results for assigned media are incorrectly included in results for the objective when the media is associated with a topic or chapter but not with an objective.

Students taking locked-down tests cannot use the JAWS screenreader. To ensure that tests are completely secure, the Pearson LockDown Browser does not work with the JAWS screenreader. To work around this restriction, you can temporarily remove the lock-down restriction from the test and have your visually impaired students take the test before the other students begin. With this approach, the Gradebook entry for the test shows the results for all students. Alternatively, you can copy the test and remove the lock-down restriction for your visually impaired students. Using this approach, you would have to delete the results for the copied test and manually enter them into the Gradebook for the original, locked-down test.

When editing questions, you cannot save alt text that contains incorrect variables. When editing or creating a question using the Custom Question Builder, you cannot save alt text that contains an invalid variable and you do not see an error message.

Guided Solutions do not open in a reviewed homework that has no results. If students save a homework assignment without entering any answers, they cannot open the Guided Solutions while reviewing the homework. This intentional restriction is intended to discourage students from cheating.

Student Home does not show Best Score for quizzes and tests that have multiple attempts and are globally omitted. If a quiz or test is set to multiple attempts and is globally omitted, the first attempt rather than the best score displays on the Student Home.
