Create a bibliography in NoodleBib

Use this procedure to create a bibliography using NoodleBib. When creating a bibliography, you specify the type of citation, and NoodleBib prompts you for the appropriate information and formats the citation according to the selected style.

Also refer to the NoodleBib User's Guide, accessible through the Help button in the NoodleBib window, for complete details on using NoodleBib.

Note: The NoodleBib feature may or may not be available depending on the instructor's course settings. 

To create a bibliography in NoodleBib:

  1. Open the assignment or click the Composing tab to display the composing space.
  2. Click the Cite Sources link under Research (in the composing space's Writer's Toolkit).

    The Cite My Sources window opens.

  3. Click the Create List button.

    The NoodleBib window is displayed. Click the Help button in the NoodleBib window for links to the NoodleBib knowledge base, user guide, and support center.

  4. Click the Create a New List button.

    The Create a New List screen is displayed.

  5. Select a List Style.
  6. Enter a Description for this list.
  7. Click the Create List button.

    The Works Cited screen is displayed.

  8. Select a citation type from the drop-down list and click the Create Citation button.

    The next series of screens depend on your citation selection.

  9. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete creating the citation and refer to the NoodleBib User's Guide for further details.

You can edit, delete, and copy citations as well as add descriptions to citations and change the sort order. See the NoodleBib User's Guide for more information.
