A: An ISBN for your book is assigned after you submit it for publishing. For bundled print Collections there are two ISBNs: one for the book and one for the bundle, which includes your custom book plus any other materials you've selected. Any ISBN assigned appears on the confirmation screen when you publish your Collection and in the confirmation email you receive. The ISBN also appears in the Collection's tile once it is assigned.
A: To publish a Collection:
- Select Edit Collection for the Collection you want to publish.
- Select Publish Collection and enter your contact information.
- Complete the information requested. For more information, refer to Publish a Collection.
A: You can't download content. You can upload content for inclusion in a Collection, but you cannot download it. Access to a digital Collection is provided in your confirmation email for student access. Print Collections are turned into custom books for your course and once printed will be available in your institution's bookstore. Be sure to give them the book's ISBN so they can order it.
A: You can't convert a digital Collection to a print Collection; however, you can make a copy of print Collection and save it as a digital Collection when you publish the print Collection. Refer to Publish a Collection for more information.
Your other option is to create two Collections at the same time. Make one a digital Collection and the other a print Collection and place the same content in each.
A: You can select a highlight color when you create or edit a note.
If you dislike the current highlight color, complete the following steps:
- Select Notes & Highlights from the left tray (
). - Select the highlighted text you want to change from the left side of the preview viewer. The highlighted text will appear on the right side of the viewer.
- Select the highlighted area from the right side of the viewer. You will be prompted to select a new color.
- Select the color of the highlight and close the selection box.
A: It depends on the type of Collection being published. Digital Collections are approved within 3 to 5 days in most cases. Print Collections can take up to two weeks or more from the time they are published until the order is printed and shipped to your institution's bookstore.
A: A print Collection is required to have at least 100 pages of content and is restricted to 1200 pages in a single volume. If you require more pages, a Pearson project specialist will contact you to discuss where to divide the material into two parts. If you need less fewer than 100 pages, create a digital Collection instead.
