Add supporting materials

Use these steps if you need to add materials to an existing course or assignment. If you are already in the process of creating a course or assignment, skip this procedure.

• To display the Create a Course page, do the following.
  1. Point to the Manage tab and click My Courses.
  2. Click the Edit link for the course where you want to add supporting materials. (You may need to point to the course's title to display the Edit link.)
• To display the Create an Assignment page, do the following.
  1. Point to the Manage tab and click My Assignments.
  2. Click the Edit link for the assignment where you want to add supporting materials. (You may need to point to the assignment's title to display the Edit link.)

1. Scroll down to the Supporting Materials section of the Create a Course or the Create an Assignment page.
2. Click the Add another video button.
3. Click the Click to continue link.
4. Do one of the following:
   • To upload a video file:
     1. Click the Upload tab.
     2. Click the Browse button and select the file to upload.
     3. Click the Upload! button.
     4. Click the Next button when the upload has completed.
     5. (Optional) Enter a Title other than the file name. (The Title is the text that users will see and click.)
     6. Click the Next button.
     7. Wait for the video to upload. (See Video size and upload times.)
     8. Click the Save Course button.
   • To record and upload a video using a webcam:
     1. Click the Webcam tab.
     2. Select your webcam from the drop-down list.

        Note: Adobe Flash Player may display a pop-up that requests permission to access your webcam. You need to allow this access before you can record a video with your webcam. If applicable, click the Allow button to grant permission.

     3. Click the Record button and record your video.
     4. Click the Stop button.
     5. (Optional) Click the Play button to view your recording.
     6. Click the Next button.
     7. (Optional) Enter a Title other than the file name. (The Title is the text that users will see and click.)
     8. Click the Next button.
     9. Wait for the video to upload. (See Video size and upload times.)
     10. Click the Save Course button.

1. Scroll down to the Supporting Materials section of the Create a Course or the Create an Assignment page.
2. Click the Add another document button.
3. Click the Click to continue link.
4. Click the Browse button and select the file to upload.
5. Click the Upload! button.
6. Click the Next button when the upload has completed.
7. (Optional) Enter a Title other than the file name. (The Title is the text that users will see and click.)
8. Click the Next button.
9. Click the Save Course button.

1. Scroll down to the Supporting Materials section of the Create a Course or the Create an Assignment page.
2. Enter the link's Title. (The Title is the text that users will see and click.)
3. Enter the link's URL.
4. To add more links:
   1. Click the Add another link button.
   2. Repeat steps 2 and 3.
5. Click the Save Course button.

1. Scroll down to the Supporting Materials section of the Create a Course or the Create an Assignment page.
2. Drag a Drag to re-order icon to change the order of its video, document, or link.
3. Click the Save Course button.

1. Scroll down to the Supporting Materials section of the Create a Course or the Create an Assignment page.
2. Click the Remove this item icon to delete its video, document, or link.
3. Click the Save Course button.
